A. N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies in collaboration with 'Paigam-e-Mohabbat -2014' organised a special lecture on 4th December, 2013 on the theme Inequality, Communalism and Participatory Democracy at the Institute's conference hall. Guest lecture was delivered by Shri Harsh Mandar, Food Commissioner and well known social activist.

Shri Mandar explained how lack of empathy and love of freedom in society is responsible for the current crime and ills of the society. Society and other institutions have also ignored major core issues and ills of society. He explained how Muzzafarnagar riots was planned and called love zihad. Shri Mandar suggested love as a great weapon to all the problems of society.

Prof D M Diwakar, Director, ANSISS in his presidential address said language of love is different from language of growth and development i.e. language of love by poor and by capitalist is different.
Globalisation has created weapons to spread hate and communalism and destroyed the basic fabrics of secularism. There are many catalyst factors which promote communalism and non-secularism but also there are initiatives like Paigam- e- Mohabat 2014. The event was coordinated by Vinod kumar and Arshad Ajmal . At the end Prof. BN Prasad proposed vote of thanks.
