Dr Ansari's academics comprises M A in Applied Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi; M Phil and Ph D in Social Medicine, JNU, N. Delhi; and Post Doctoral Fellow, University of Pune; and UGC NET in Psychology. He has served as Lecturer in Mumbai at TISS, SNDT Women's University, Nanavati Women's College, and as Senior Researcher at CEHAT and had been offered Assistant Professorship in Disaster Management by YASHADA, Pune. He has also worked as Researcher, Jobs With Justice, USA India office- N Delhi; Programme Coordinator of South Asian Dialogues on Ecological Democracy (SADED) at CSDS, Delhi; and Reader and Head, Dept of Psychology, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha before joining this Institute. Dr. Ansari's areas of academic works are Gerontology (Ageing), Public Health, Applied Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Counselling Psychology, and Child and Youth. Presently he is working on Ageing, Public Health, Youth, Family System and Social Change, Peace Psychology, Conflict Management, Ecological Crisis and Human Behaviour etc. Dr Ansari has been awarded Nehru Memorial Doctoral Scholarship, Teen Murti House, N Delhi; INIA-United Nation's Fellowship, International Institute of Ageing - United Nations, Malta. He has been Member of UGC Expert Committee under SAP in Psychology; Life member of Bombay Psychological Association (BPA), Mumbai; Member of Advisory Group, Old Age Knowledge and Resource Centre (OAK), N Delhi; and Member of Research Committee, SADED-CSDS, New Delhi. He has published several research papers in National and International journals and edited books; presented papers in national and international seminars/conferences, and delivered several invited/guest lecturers/key note address by Universities, Colleges, Research Organisations including Loyola College of Social Work, Chicago, USA; and also provided consultancies to several research projects; also visited Malta, Finland and recently invited to Taiwan for academic purposes.
