1. Land Reforms Administrative Training Programme 2014-15 Organized by A.N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies at ANSISS, 29 January, 2015

A N Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna in collaboration with Department of Revenue and Land reforms, Government of Bihar and Land Reforms Core Committee is organizing a series of training programme on "Bihar Land Reforms Acts , Rules and Circulars for Government Officials (ACs, DCLRs and COs)" of the state of Bihar. We successfully completed the seven batches of DCLRs and COs training programme with the hope that expansion of knowledge and sensitivity will help to achieve complete success in land reforms programme and thus better opportunities for marginalised people to progress. The eighth training programme for Circle Officers (COs), Inaugural function was graced by Shri Narendra Yadav, Minister of Revenue and Land reforms; Shri Hukum Singh Meena, Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection;Shri Subhmurti ji, Member, Land Reforms Core Committee; Prof. D M Diwakar, Director, ANSISS; Shri Kapileshwar Ram; Dalit Adhikar Manch; Miss Kalpna from Planning Commission and other . Shri Hukum Singh Meena, Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection stressed that strengthening the instrumentalities of structure is vital for the success of Land reforms.Rules, regulation and policies for land reforms are well enough but the matter of implementation is the key to success. It is important to build confidence among the personnel through this type of training programme. Shri Narendra Yadav, Minister of Revenue and Land reforms appealed to COs to give attention to time limits to solve the dispute and informed about the initiative like digitization of maps, Land records data computerization and giving special attention to women issues in the disputes. Prof D M Diwakar, ANSISS, Director, appreciated the support from civil society like never before especially on the ground level. He also emphasized that participation of marginalised class in mainstream development path is urgent for the development process. Land reform is one of the major tools for eradication of Poverty. He proposed that Data validation is crucial at this point, in his welcome address. Shri Subhmurti ji, Member, Land Reforms Core Committee, claimed that this initiative will bring positive changes to the rural situation. He strongly condemned the deep rooted institutional violence which snatches rights from public through collective exploitation. The function was preceded by training coordinator Vidyarthi Vikas, Assistant Professor, ANSISS and Vote of thanks was given by ShriVinod Kumar Jha, Revenue of Land Reforms, Government of Bihar.
