Dr. Rajeev Kamal Kumar
Assistant Professor, Sociology & Social Anthropology Division

Rajeev K. Kumar has an academic background in Anthropology with a focus on development and health aspects of tribal communities. He has done M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi. He has been awarded Doctoral Fellowship from ICSSR, New Delhi. He has done his Doctorate on development aspects of Parhaiyas; a primitive tribe of Jharkhand. He has participated and presented several papers in National Seminars. He has also authored a book and research articles in leading journals, edited books and seminar proceedings. He is Asst. Editor of JHM (Sage Publication). Prior to joining ANSISS, Patna, he has worked as Asst. Prof at Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. During past 12 years he has been involved in several research projects and evaluation studies such as Evaluation of NACP-II (with -IIM, Kolkata & JHU- USA), mapping of health facilities (GoMP), Health of Urban Poor (USAID), Review of HMIS of MCTS and Women & child development (Save the Children), Adolescent Education Project (CEDPA & UNFPA) etc. He has also worked closely with SHSB, Govt. of Bihar for almost four years as State Coordinator for IIHMR in Bihar.
